Causes and prevention measures of gear pump seal leakage

(1) The gland is not installed correctly and the oil drain hole on the front cover and back cover is blocked.

(2) The outer diameter of the seal ring is too loose with the bore diameter of the seal seat.

(3) The direction of the pump body is reversed, so that the pressure oil port is connected with the unloading groove, forming pressure to flush out the sealing ring.

(4) The oil quality is not clean and the oil return is not smooth.

(5) The oil pipe thread fit is not tight. As an important part of gear pump, the seal of gear pump plays the role of fixing spindle and sealing medium. In case of leakage, first check whether the seal selection and installation are correct, and then check whether the working condition is stable.
