Example: The sludge output of the sedimentation tank of a sewage plant is 13000t/d, and the moisture content of the sludge is 99.6%. If the belt filter press is used for 14 hours a day, how many units should be used? Set the width utilization factor K of the filter belt to 0.85 and the thickness m of the filter cake to 0.008m.

Solution: Suppose the operating speed v of the dewatering belt is 2.25m/min, the moisture content P2 of the filter cake is 78%, and the wet density r of the filter cake is 1.03t/m3, the processing capacity is:

W2=K•b•B•m•v•r＝0.85×60×3×0.008×2.25×1.03＝2.84(t/h)

W1=(100-P2)÷(100-P1)×W2=[(100-78)÷(100-99.6)]×2.84≈156.2(t/h)

n=Q÷W1=13000÷(156.2×14)≈6(unit)

Therefore, it should be 8 (6 with 2 standby)

Main dehydration parameters of each process section

About the commissioning of belt filter press equipment:

The equipment should be operated and debugged before use. First, adjust the main drive roller to a right angle of 90° to the frame based on the frame; then adjust the other filter pressure rollers based on the main drive roller to make them parallel; then adjust the rest Roll the roller so that it is at a right angle of 90° to the frame; afterwards, start the idle operation of the equipment and adjust the roller according to the direction of the filter belt deviation. In other words, if the filter belt deviates to the right, the left cylinder rod extends, increasing the friction on the left side of the filter belt, and the filter belt moves to the left; if the filter belt deviates to the left, the right cylinder rod extends, Increase the friction on the right side of the filter belt, and the filter belt will move to the right; the deviation between left and right is subject to 5mm. Enterprise standard: When the equipment is running idly, the left and right deviation of the filter belt is between 3mm.

Pretreatment of materials. Generally, two drugs are added. The first type is inorganic flocculant. The function of this drug is to adjust the pH value of the material or cause the material dissolved in the water to precipitate and agglomerate. Mainly calcium carbide slag, lime, etc.; the second type is organic flocculant. The function of this medicine is to condense the precipitated and coagulated materials into large flocs, and separate free water and part of the capillary water to make the materials easy to separate from solid and liquid. There are two to three leveling devices on the belt thickener. Under normal circumstances, the materials can be evenly distributed, and manual adjustments must be made in special cases; if the dewatering performance of the activated sludge is good, the processing capacity of the materials can be increased and the leveling The feeder is raised to increase the thickness of the filter cake; if the performance is worse, the processing capacity of the material can be appropriately reduced, and the leveler is lowered to reduce the thickness of the filter cake. Adjust the angle of the wedge-shaped pre-compression section. If the dewatering performance of the activated sludge is good, it can be adjusted to 3°; if the performance is poor, it can be adjusted to 5°-7°. Adjust the belt speed of the filter press. If the material is activated sludge, the belt speed is between 2 and 3 m/min. Adjust the belt speed of the thickener. If the material is activated sludge, the belt speed is between 4 and 5m/min.
