For the grooved filter plate and the plate and frame filter plate, if the filter cake of the drier is needed, all the filter cavities should be filled with the filter cake. Through the filtration, the thickness of the filter cake will become thicker and thicker. There will be more and more, that is, the capacity of the D-slot filter press in the half cycle time is more than 70%, but the filtration efficiency in the half cycle is not ideal.

In the last filtration stage, the diaphragm filter press can overcome this efficiency. Through the bulging of the diaphragm, all the filter cakes are squeezed in each filter tank for a second time.
